Montblanc

From the beginning stages of assembling individual parts to presenting a truly alive and resplendent piece, our products are lifestyle companions that will accompany yours and future generations to come.

Be it writing instruments, leather, watches, accessories or our youngest category of new technologies, our master craftsmen work diligently to pour their hearts and souls into every step of the creation.

The international mentality of our 3 pioneering founders of the maison continues to be a strong legacy of the brand to this day. Our writing instruments are completed in Hamburg, our leather goods in Florence and our timepieces in Switzerland.

PIONEERING SINCE 1906

Limited Edition

In 2022, Montblanc honours one of the most celebrated musicians of the 20th century who is widely regarded as one of the most influential electric guitarists in the history of popular music: Jimi Hendrix. Inspired by the cover of the 1968 album "Electric Ladyland", the barrel of this Limited Edition 1942 features a degradé lacquer held by a skeletonized overlay. The cap´s surface symbolizes the material of an amplifier used by Hendrix and holds a lacquer badge. The yellow-gold coated clip is angled to resemble the vibrato bar of an electric guitar. The Montblanc emblem in the cap top is made from precious resin. Another striking detail is the yellow gold-coated barrel ring which draws inspiration from a 1960´s guitar cable - it is engraved with the date of a famous Jimi Hendrix concert. The handcrafted Au 750 solid gold nib bears a portrait of Jimi Hendrix.

Pushing the Limits

At the heart of our Manufacture in Hamburg lies the Artisan Atelier, where, in the hands of our master goldsmiths and stone setters, a writing instrument becomes a work of art. Here, specially trained artisans combine traditional craftsmanship and modern production techniques to produce the soul of every Montblanc fountain pen: the nib.

Countless meticulous steps are involved in the process, using rare materials from platinum and solid gold to unique wood and precious stones to realise limited editions such as Patron of Art, Writers Edition, Great Charac¬ters, or the High Artistry collection.
