Montblanc Patron Of Art Homage To Victoria Limited Edition 4810 Fountain Pen

Every year since 1992, Montblanc has honored an influential art patron from antiquity to the 20th century with a limited-edition writing instrument. Every Patron of Art Limited Edition highlights Montblanc's belief that arts and culture are an essential part of any thriving society and can only flourish with the support of dedicated patrons. For its 30th (1992 – 2022) and final edition, Montblanc has created a double edition, celebrating the life and legacy of British monarch Victoria and her husband Albert.

This writing instrument commemorates the early years of the royal couple with a body in pearly white lacquer, a symbol of purity and youth, and a top decorated with a traditional Victorian pattern, as well as the intertwined "V&A" monogram, in which the couple liked to combine their initials.

The edition dedicated to Victoria features a hat in translucent mint green lacquer, one of her favorite colors to wear. The decorative pattern seen under the cap's polish is inspired by the fencing surrounding the Albert Memorial in Kensington Gardens, London. The cap is decorated with a royal blue crown and the Montblanc emblem in precious resin. The words "I'll Be Good" are engraved on the cap ring. The clip's shape is inspired by her scepter with a green stone, referencing her engagement ring from Albert. Handcrafted in solid Au 750 gold with a champagne gold finish, the nib is decorated with a stylized rose that represents Queen Victoria, who is still remembered today as the 'Rose of England'.

The writing instrument is limited to 4,810 pieces, representing the height of Mont Blanc in meters.
